In the Middle Ages, Andrest consisted of two seigniories and two parishes : Andrest and Trougnan. In 1 212, these two seigniories were granted to the Viscount of Lavedan who undertook a lot of developing works : a canal, bridges, the foundations of the present village, granted communal fields.
